A small pencil, guides her life. A blue pen, encourages her mind. Angela Lao was born in Houston, U.S in 1987. She got to Macau when she was just a baby. Perhaps that was the idea of God, letting her to live in a new place. Angela's Mom held her hand with a pencil to teach her drawing when she was almost two. That started her life with drawing and writing.

Angela studied in an English school during teenage time. Although she was U.S resident, she could not speak nor write English so well. She felt depress and sad. Once, her Mom encouraged her to write a comic book with English-Chinese translation. She tried her best and published her first book, Natural Farm at fifteen. Angela loved publishing since then.

Angela's English got much improved after meeting her Miss during sophomore class. She loved her so much and that made her imagined a book dedicated to her. It was her tenth book, Flaw of the Ring. She spent her deepest feelings to imagine, months to write and illustrating, because she really wish this book could touch the whole world.

Angela Lao loves piano very much because of the influence of her Miss. She learned piano for a short time. According to her talent, she enjoys composing songs. She has written 13 great songs for her beloved Miss (not including the short ones for fun). She is now learning piano formally from another teacher. She really hope she could get the fifth grade from the piano examination in December, 2009.

Angela got the diploma of graphic design at Macau Polytechnic Institute in 2009. She is honored to study in IPM because knowing a lot of good teachers and they gave her lots of achievements. She will continue to study and get higher grades. She wishes she could be a famous artist, writer and musician in the world.

She really hopes someone will not be angry with her coz she did such unnecessary things for her. Angela wants to appologize to someone for loving her so much. And also, she really wants to thank her for giving her such a lot of creation spirits and imaginations through art, writing and music.
